Comedy in Shakespeare Workshop
Unleash your inner fool in this lively 90-minute Comedy in Shakespeare workshop, presented by Melbourne Shakespeare Company and proudly supported by the City of Stonnington. Led by Ben Margalith, this hands-on session dives into the wit, wordplay and physical humour of Shakespeare’s comedies. Participants will explore comic timing, status play, character archetypes and audience interaction, discovering practical tools to bring Shakespeare’s funniest scenes to life with clarity, confidence and bold theatricality.
Please note: Attendees must be 18 years or older.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR
Ben Margalith is the founder of Dove Tales Theatre Company, Hong Kong's largest touring theatre company, and Hong Kong Shakespeare in the Park. With extensive experience as a director, workshop facilitator, performer, and voice-over artist, Ben’s recent work includes directing The Merchant of Venice for Melbourne Shakespeare Company and teaching at the University of Melbourne.
