His Holiness will bestow the 100-years Longevity Empowerment.This Amitayus empowerment comes from the Mahasiddha Thangtong Gyalpo with whom the Sakya Trizins have a special connection. It is known as the “100 Year Long-life empowerment” due to the many who have lived above the age of one hundred years through the accomplishment of this practice. Longevity is crucial for a Dharma practitioner, to maximise their time in this body in advancing along the path of Dharma.
