37SQN 60 Years C-130 Operations

The 37 Squadron [RAAF] Association will be hosting a function Saturday 22 August 2026 at the Royal Hotel Richmond NSW to celebrate 37SQN's 60 continious years of C-130 Hercules operations. The function is open to ALL who have contributed to those safe operations, irrespective of rank / category or mustering.Since the arrival of the first C-130E, A97-159 on the 23 August 1966, 37SQN has operated 36 Hercules airframes, being the C-130E, H & J-30 and by the time of the event the unit will have accumulated more than 500,000 C-130 flight hours without loss of an airframe. A magnificent achievement by ALL those who have contributed to the safe operation of those airframes over the last 60 years.
