Lontano (Italian for 'far away') is a long-distance songwriting project featuring Anthony Dettori (who lives in Brisbane) and Roz Pappalardo (currently based in Tamworth). Since they are rarely in the same place at the same time, Lontano treasure every opportunity to perform live together, tailoring each show into a landmark experience. You will never regret getting off the sofa for a Lontano show.This June, Dettori and Pappalardo are getting the band together for a cracking party at The Cave Inn, to launch their much-anticipated third album, 'Love without hard lines'.
Building on the band's previous storytelling around the physics of human connection, 'Love without hard lines' is a moving storybook about entropy – the trend towards disorder experienced by everything (and everyone) in the universe. It’s also about the meaning we all seek as we begin to accept that none of us can defeat the second law of thermodynamics. This emotional rollercoaster of a record will be released to the public the week following this show, but you can secure advance access by purchasing one of the album package tickets.
Performing alongside Dettori and Pappalardo will be long-time collaborators Jason Millhouse (guitar), Derek Haas (bass) and Scott Lapthorne (drums, percussion). Please join us.
