Dementia Australia is partnering with Seymour Health to provide staff with a free training course where on completion staff will receive a certificate IV in Dementia Essentials.Topics include;
• Appreciating the nature & impact of dementia on the person and their loves ones
• Develop strategies to communicate effectively
• Plan and develop meaningful activities that support people with all stages of dementia
• Identify the causes of changed behaviours in people living with dementia
• Identify elder abuse and restrictive practices
