WTC Workshop – More Than a Tasting: The MV Experience
This evening celebrates the connection between our community and visitors and is designed for all tourism customer-facing team members across the McLaren Vale region.
Presented by the McLaren Vale Wine Tourism Committee and hosted by wine tourism expert Robin Shaw, you’ll hear from:
Jenni Mitton, Candidate for Mawson and 2018 Clive Simmonds Memorial Trophy Recipient, will share what the wine tourism industry means to McLaren Vale and the unique qualities that make our region so special.
Priscilla Hennekam will guide us through Rethinking the Tasting Room: Connection is the New Conversion - sharing ways to create memorable experiences, tell stories visitors remember, read the room, and turn visits into a sense of belonging.
A panel discussion will follow with Amber Flavell (SA Wine Trainer), and local cellar door experts, Elise Cook (Down the Rabbit Hole), Alan Varney (Varney Wines), and James Hook (Lazy Ballerina). They will explore how they share their passion for McLaren Vale and, together with their customer-facing teams, create lasting visitor connections through practical business practices.
The night will conclude with drinks, nibbles, and networking with our community fellows.
COST: $10pp for financial members of MVGWTA.
