The Sydney High Old Girls Union is fundraising for the purchase of 3D printers for the Design and Technology students and faculty at Sydney Girls High.
What is a 3D printer?
A 3D printer is a device that creates physical objects by adding material layer by layer from a digital design. This process is known as additive manufacturing and is popular for rapid prototyping, custom parts, models and creative builds.
A 3D printer works by:
- Reading a 3D model file.
- Heating and extruding material through a nozzle or curing resin with light.
- Building the object one layer at a time until the final shape is complete.
Please donate to support current students to take their first steps towards creating custom prototypes and educational models supporting future careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Thank you for your generous support of current Sydney Girls High students.
