Public Viewing Night: A Night at Mount Burnett Observatory (SOLD OUT)
About
AboutAre you looking for an astronomy fix, or a special present for somebody? Look no further!
Observatory visits are evening sessions targeted at members of the public who would like to see an observatory in action and (weather permitting) look through the telescopes.
The fully guided session lasts 90 minute and includes tours of the domes and museum and an introduction to the night sky. If the sky is clear, the visit will include viewing through the observatory telescopes.
Sessions run if the sky is clear or cloudy. We only cancel the event if the weather is dangerous. Our team will entertain and inform you regardless of cloud cover.
The cost is $40 per adult 15 yrs and over, and $20 per child over 5. Not suitable for children under 5.
Observatory visits are incredibly popular and the income from them supports vital maintenance, so our cancellation policy is strict.
Cancellation Policy

MBO will cancel a session for the following reason:

Tickets cancelled less than 72 hours up till 24hrs prior to the event will be refunded minus a $10 per adult, $5 per child ticket.
