HBOC 50th Gala Anniversary Dinner
About
HBOC 50th Gala Anniversary DinnerCome join us to celebrate 50 years of our wonderful Club, caring about native birds & their habitats.
The doors of the main entrance to Newcastle City Hall (King Street) will be open from 5.15pm, drinks will be served in the Cummings Room until you’re asked to be seated in the Concert Hall at 6.30pm. We'll be encouraging everyone to swap seats during the night, to enable you to chat to more people. When HBOC funds run out behind the bar, you'll have to pay for your own drinks. And, not forgetting the food - an entree (two options, swap around the table if necessary), main (ditto with two options) and then dessert - a special cake.
Chris Bath, well-known journalist, news reader and avid birder, will be our MC. Music will be provided by Steel City Sue. There will be an address by the current President and 50 years anniversary presentations and a rolling slide show of HBOC photographic memorabilia during the night. And, importantly, there will be an exclusive 50th anniversary pin included in the ticket price. (Note, the ticket price, including Trybooking fees, is $82.50.) And for those unsure, dress code is smart casual, interpret that as you will.
Parking on the night: Wickham Transport Hub parking station, then catch light rail; Civic Station long car park near Newcastle Museum; street parking for the lucky ones.
HBOC acknowledges the support of major sponsors Anderson Environment and Planning and Torrent Consulting to make the night a reality.
People interested in birds, the conservation of their habitat and HBOC are welcome to this event.
