This retreat will be conducted by Bishop Genieve Blackwell.Biography:
The Right Reverend Genieve Blackwell has served as an Assistant Bishop in the Anglican Diocese of Melbourne since 2015. She previously served in ordained parish ministry since 1993 in the dioceses of Sydney, Bathurst and Canberra/Goulburn. She was the first woman consecrated as a Bishop in New South Wales in 2012, the third in Australia, serving as Regional Bishop in Wagga Wagga before moving to Melbourne. In that time, Bishop Genieve has led a number of retreats including for ordinands, Dioceses and for Anglican Defence Force Chaplains.
She has degrees from the University of Sydney and the Australian College of Theology, and an MA in Theology (Spirituality) from the Australian Catholic University and an MPhil from the University of Divinity Human-centred design and God-centred discernment: A way of dialogue for Australian Anglicans.
Bishop Genieve is married to John Silversides and has two adult children.
The retreat will be held on 11 - 14 May at Peter Canisius House, Pymble.
We understand that the layout of this centre consists of small groups of rooms around a shared set of bathrooms. There are a very limited number of rooms with ensuites. These rooms will be allocated to Clergy with specific needs.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation by 13 April 2026: Refund of 100% of the deposit, less any applicable charges.
Cancellation from 14 April 2026 – 27 Apr 2026: Refund of 75% of the deposit, less any applicable charges.
No refunds for cancellations made on or after 28 April 2026, or for non attendance.
