Join the celebration of the Australian Army’s 125th anniversary at the Holsworthy Barracks open day!We’ll be opening our gates to the public, offering a rare opportunity to explore a range of Army capabilities up close. Visitors will be able to view Special Forces vehicles, the Bushmaster and Hawkei protected mobility vehicles, and a variety of engineering and plant equipment, with ADF personnel available throughout the day to talk about their roles and experiences.
The Australian Army Museum of Military Engineering and the Australian Army Military Police Museum will also be open, offering a deeper look into Army history and specialised trades.
This free community event is open to all, but you must book your (free) ticket/s via this trybooking portal. If you are an ADF member with access to Holsworthy Barracks, you do not need to book a ticket.
On the day, there will be water stations available but food and coffee options will be limited. Therefore, you’re strongly encouraged to bring your own snacks and drinks to keep your energy levels high!
Please note that parking at Holsworthy Barracks is extremely limited, and you are encouraged to take public transport to this event. Access to the Barracks from the Holsworthy Train station will be available via our side gate that is situated near the station. If you do need to drive, car parking will be available near the front gate via Alec Campbell Drive, with allocated parking close to the entry for members of the community with a mobility impairment.
Please bring photo identification that matches the name on the ticket to enter the Barracks (except for children under 18).
There are two session times: 10.00am – 12.00pm; and 1.00pm – 3.00pm.
