SVHM Ligature Cutting tool Training
About
Training course is intended for all mental health clinicians working within bed-based services (PARC, AIS, Normanby House).Attendance of face-to-face and demonstrated use of ligature cutting tool is required.
The learning objectives for this course include:
• Understand physical health risks associated
• Know the difference between suspended and un-suspended ligature incident (and risks associated)
• Recognise and respond to ligature incident
• Know where to locate and how to operate Rescue tool (ligature cutters)
• Monitoring physical health during the incident (DRSABCD)
All face-to-face sessions are subject to capacity restrictions (maximum of 6 attendees).
