WCEI Victoria: She Shapes History Walking Tour
About
Step into the stories that shaped a city on the She Shapes History Walking Tour, a guided two hour experience through the heart of Melbourne led by WCEI Victoria Committee Member Leanne Abela. This immersive 3 kilometre walk invites guests to discover the overlooked contributions of remarkable women whose influence helped define Melbourne’s social, cultural and political landscape.Beginning at the historic Queen Victoria Building and concluding at the iconic Melbourne Town Hall, the tour blends storytelling, local history and hidden landmarks to reveal a side of the city many have never seen. Along the way, participants will explore powerful narratives of resilience, leadership and change, gaining a deeper appreciation of the women who challenged convention and shaped the Melbourne we know today.
Designed for connection as much as discovery, this experience offers a relaxed pace suitable for most fitness levels and provides opportunities to engage, reflect and share insights with fellow attendees. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Join us for an inspiring afternoon that celebrates history, honours legacy and brings the city’s untold stories to life.
