Dr Neil Benjamin Memorial Oration
About
This special centenary event will mark an inaugural oration in honour of Dr Neil Benjamin, the first doctor to work at Calvary Riverina Hospital. Dr Benjamin’s contribution helped shape the early foundations of medical care at Calvary Riverina Hospital. One hundred years on, we gather to reflect on that legacy and to formally launch what will become an annual oration.Associate Professor Susanne Benjamin, granddaughter of Dr Neil Benjamin, will open the evening by sharing personal reflections on her grandfather’s life and work. As both a family member and respected medical professional in her own right, she brings a unique perspective to the legacy he leaves within Riverina medicine.
The keynote address will then be delivered by Associate Professor Adrian van der Rijt, Executive Consultant of Surgical Services at Calvary Riverina Hospital.
The evening will conclude with a light supper, and the opportunity for colleagues from across the Riverina medical community to connect, reflect and celebrate a shared commitment to excellence in care.
