This is the first of two sessions on the central research practice of situating your work within the existing literature.
In this first session, our guest ECU Librarian will discuss finding sources – including accessing library services, searching research databases, using search terms and Boolean logic, and expanding your research networks and source possibilities. We will also briefly reflect on which types of sources are most highly valued within your own discipline(s). We will look at developing search strategies tailored to your specific purpose in going to the literature, and begin to outline ways to keep good records of what you find.
Facilitated by Jennifer Moore & Ewa Dmytryk-Klempel, ECU Library Services.
