Daylesford Conversations: Walking Country
About
Walking Country: Activating Nature-based Tourism in DaylesfordBushwalking has long been part of the Daylesford district’s identity, but its potential as a driver of sustainable visitation is only just emerging. This Daylesford Conversation will explore how existing assets such as the Great Dividing Trail Network, local walking circuits and the new Wombat–Lerderderg National Park can be better connected, interpreted and supported. The discussion will look at current and future opportunities for nature-based recreation, the role of local and state government, and how walking can strengthen community, protect Country and shape the region’s tourism future.
Join Tim Bach, President of the Great Dividing Trails Association and Adam Ford, the Hepburn Shire Visitor Experience Officer in conversation followed by drinks and nibbles.
