Guards!'In the sprawling, chaotic city of Ankh-Morpork, the once-proud City Watch has fallen into disrepair — its remaining members, Captain Vimes, Sergeant Colon, and Corporal Nobby Nobbs, are more accustomed to avoiding crime than fighting it. But when a secretive brotherhood summons a dragon to seize control of the city, the Watch is reluctantly forced into action. With the help of the idealistic new recruit Carrot Ironfoundersson — a six-foot-tall human raised by dwarfs — the Watch must uncover the conspiracy, face down an ancient beast, and perhaps even rediscover what it means to be heroes. Packed with sharp wit, slapstick chaos, and Pratchett’s trademark satire, Guards! Guards! brings the Discworld to life on stage in a tale of unlikely bravery, bureaucratic absurdity, and the triumph of a few very odd men (and one very determined dragon).
