Roo-ver: Inside Australia’s First Moon Rover Program
Get behind the Australian Rover Challenge at the Australian Space Discovery Centre, this year’s official city-based viewing hub.
The Australian Space Agency and industry consortium ELO2 have partnered with the Adelaide University to put Roo-ver – Australia’s first Moon rover – front and centre as part of this year’s Challenge.
The Roo-ver program, a collaboration between the Australian Space Agency and ELO2, will design, build and operate Australia’s first lunar rover on the Moon within this decade with NASA.
Join representatives from the Australian Space Agency and ELO2 for an exclusive Q&A at 11am, where you’ll hear about the vision, engineering and collaboration driving this history-making program.
After the Q&A, enjoy activities for all ages, including:
- SketchBots – Have your portrait drawn by a robot, with a digital copy sent to the Moon with Roo-ver.
- Hands-on activities for kids
- A close-up look at the latest Roo-ver prototype
- Live streaming of the Australian Rover Challenge in our theatrette
