About
The Pottery Apprentice Program is an intensive 8 week pottery course where teen potters will develop their personal style and express creative ideas. Students make, glaze and fire a number of functional and sculptural pieces. Techniques will be demonstrated, but there is plenty of scope for individual artistic expression.Specifically, the curriculum includes:
• Throwing and trimming pots on a pottery wheel
• Hand building with coils, pinch pots and slab
• Sculpture
• Exploring glaze mediums
• Studio safety and maintenance
Classes run weekly on Fridays from July 24 - Sept 11, between 3.45 - 5.45pm. The last 10 minutes of class are focused on cleaning our tools and equipment. Make-up lessons are not available. Please read terms prior to booking. Suitable for ages 12-18. Course facilitator TBC.
