Entry into the 2026 Rooty Hill Autumn Swiss for non-chess club members.Wenty Leagues Membership is still Required
Time Control:
60 minutes + 30 seconds per move
Dates:
Every Monday from the 2nd of March to the 27th of April (except for the 6th of April)
Cost:
$35 for non-chess-club members
Clocks start at exactly 7:15 pm. Default time 7:45 pm.
If you are not present by the default time without a valid reason, you will be withdrawn from the tournament. To be included back in the draw, you must pay a $10 penalty fee.

Entries are only accepted on our website.
Decisions made by the arbiter on the night are final, and no appeals are permitted for the purpose of time. (Article 11.10)
Pairings by Vega using FIDE Approved Baku Acceleration Method.
All pairings are provisional and may be subject to change until the round starts.
March FIDE and March ACF Ratings will be used.
All ½ point byes must be requested at the latest Friday evening. All byes requested after Friday will be given as zero-point byes. No half-point byes in rounds 7 and 8.
A maximum of two half-point byes will be permitted in the tournament.
Exceptions to the byes’ policies will only be made at the arbiter’s discretion under special circumstances. The $10 penalty fee will apply each time you do not turn up before the default time without informing the arbiter.
The draw will be published weekly on Friday evening on our website, newsletter, and social media platforms.
Please email byes@rootyhillchessclub.org if you are unable to make it to your game. There is limited reception at the club, and the arbiter may not receive your text message.
Players not residing in Australia must have a FIDE ID to compete. Players must obtain an ID from their national federation if not listed on the FIDE website.
FIDE Competition Rules apply to this tournament.
Entries received after the draw is published are not guaranteed a game in the following Round.
