Are You Bogged Mate?
About
This one’s an important one.FREE MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH EVENING - WED MAR 11 6.30pm
Are You Bogged Mate? — founded by Mary O’Brien — is a movement helping country blokes connect, speak up, and break the stigma around mental health.
At Geelong West Cricket Club, looking after our mates matters on and off the field. Strength isn’t just physical — it’s having the courage to check in, speak up, and back a mate when life gets heavy. No result on the scoreboard is more important than the wellbeing of our community.
President Sam Kelly shares:
“I was lucky enough to be invited by some friends to listen to Mary speak last year. I’ve listened to talks on mental health before but none more powerful and relatable than this. Its message has stayed with me ever since and I urge all men in the Geelong West community to attend!”
Mary has spent her life working in rural and remote Australia. She knows country men — she’s worked with them, for them and beside them. Most importantly, she knows how to talk to them.
