Celebrate International Francophonie Day with a guided morning experience exploring Rockhampton’s French heritage through the legacy of botanist Anthelme Thozet, one of the city’s founding figures.
The event begins at Athelstane House, Rockhampton Botanic Gardens with a light French‑inspired breakfast of coffee, tea and croissants (GF options available), followed by a guided walk through the Gardens with Greg Abbott. Guests will then enjoy a bus tour of significant Thozet‑related sites across Rockhampton, led by local Thozet expert Susan Cunningham, before returning to Athelstane House at approximately 12.30 pm.
