DRACULAYEAR 10-12 DRAMAThis performance contains mature themes and some course language. A Vessel of Blood for the Heart of Empire. At the height of the Victorian Era, London serves as the pulsing engine of the British Empire, a city of iron, industry, and unshakeable confidence. But as the fog rolls off the Thames, it brings a contagion that no quarantine can stop. In this terrifying new stage adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula, the "civilised" world is forced to confront a predatory darkness from the ancient East. The horror begins with a slow, parasitic invasion of the domestic sphere. Watch as the vibrant Lucy Westenra is systematically drained, her youthful vitality replaced by a ghastly, nocturnal hunger that defies the limits of Victorian medicine. As she transforms from a socialite into a blood-slicked phantom, the stakes shift to Mina Harker—the Empire’s ideal of modern womanhood. Mina find herself locked in a psychic battle with the Count, her very mind becoming a bridge for his nocturnal atrocities. This production leans into the visceral gothic horror of Stoker’s original vision. From the claustrophobic stone cells of Renfield’s asylum to the harrowing, blood-stained transformation of the innocent, the stage becomes a laboratory of fear. As the Count moves through London like a shadow, he doesn't just want land; he wants the life-force of the imperial capital. Armed with crucifixes and cold steel, Van Helsing and his band of hunters must descend into the crypt. The sun is setting on the Empire—and in the dark, something is waiting to feed. VENUE:
