The Sunday Printmakers is an exciting and evolving organisation which meets for three hours each month in the Makers Shed.As this is an untutored gathering, an understanding of different printmaking techniques makes for a much more satisfying experience.
An opportunity, therefore, is available for those of you who would like to know more about four different printmaking techniques
A demonstration of each technique will take one hour with Drypoint Etching and Gel Printing in the March session and Linocuts and Monotypes in the April Session
There will be tea and coffee available, plenty of examples of different prints and the opportunity to talk to the presenters of each technique.

Drypoint etching
Sunday March 15
10am - 11am
The demonstration will include different substrates and tools used in dry point etching, the best paper to use and how to prepare it, different inks, how to use the etching press and how to do drypoint etching at home.
Gel Printing
Sunday March 15
11am - 12pm
The demonstration will include different tools and materials used for gel printing, the best paper to use, how to create layers, advantages and disadvantages of different paints, image transfer and using posca pens and sharpies enhance your images.
Linocuts
Sunday April 19
10am - 11am
The demonstration will include the advantages and disadvantages of different materials and tools used in linocuts, the best paper to use, different inks and how to use the etching press to print linocuts.
Monotypes
Sunday April 19
11am - 12pm
The demonstration will show how to use different matrices, tools, inks, stencils and materials to create three versions of unique monotypes using the etching press.
