In the workshop you’ll even get the chance for individual improvisation with Rayan so you can practice your gestures while dancing with a drummer! Yeehaaa!
This 2-hour workshop will cover the following topics:
- Cultural significance of hand gestures in Egypt
- Common Egyptian hand gestures & expressions useful for dance performance
- Popular songs and what gestures to use when dancing to them
- How to incorporate gestures into your dancing in an authentic way
- How to match gestures to song lyrics appropriately
- Individual improvisation with a drummer practising your hand gestures
