About
Join us at the Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show for a fun hands-on Workshop, where you'll learn how to create eco-friendly habitats and gardens for native bees! Using both recycled and natural materials like PVC pipe and hollow flower stems/bamboo, you'll construct your very own bee hotel to take home while learning about the best native plants for native bees and pollinators that play a critical role in supporting biodiversity. Hosted at the Montague Farms Stall (B54)Who are we?
Plant Friends of Melbourne is a welcoming community for emerging horticulturalists, plant enthusiasts, and gardeners to connect, share knowledge, and grow together. Created by horticulturalists who saw a gap in the industry, the group exists to provide a dedicated space for networking, exchanging ideas, and having genuine conversations with others who share a passion for plants.
Plant Friends of Melbourne focuses on fostering a supportive, inclusive environment where like-minded people can learn from one another and build meaningful, lasting connections. Through relaxed, friendly events and gatherings, the community encourages collaboration, curiosity, and growth at every stage of the plant journey.
Plant Friends of Melbourne is committed to creating spaces where everyone feels welcome, supported, and inspired to thrive together.
