Disappearing 4 Patch Quilt

A great introduction to start your quilt making talent!This is a beginner level class held over two consecutive Sundays (21& 28 July from 10am - 2pm) where you'll be making a small quilt 90cmx90cm for your lap, table, baby or child. The only prior skill you need is to be able to sew a straight stitching on a sewing machine!
We will be joining 4 large squares of fabric together, from there we'll have 2 options for cutting, arranging and rejoining the pieces to achieve interesting and clever looking blocks (that's the disappearing bit). Four of these these big blocks make the final quilt.
During the course of our 2 workshops we will cover the basic quilt making techniques:
1) Cutting & joining pieces of fabric to make a quilt top.
2) Layering the quilt top with wadding and backing fabric.
3) Doing some simple quilting on the machine to keep it all together.
4) Binding the edges of the quilt.
All materials will be supplied. Sewing machine provided or you may prefer to bring your own.
Bring your lunch - Tea & Coffee provided. Minimum age of participants is 16 years.
