We are delighted to host Professor John Tobin, Francine V McNiff Professor of Human Rights Law, Director of Studies for Human Rights Law, and Associate Dean at Melbourne Law School, for a dinner discussion on human rights and healthcare. Professor Tobin is an internationally recognised scholar in children’s rights and the right to health. The evening will be a facilitated discussion shaped by the realities of ED practice from navigating parental conflict and prioritisation of care, to securing children’s views in complex contexts, and addressing broader issues of access, advocacy, funding, and politically sensitive challenges. This will be a valuable opportunity for thoughtful interdisciplinary dialogue.Date
