ABA Queensland Branch National Conference 2026
About
The Australian Breastfeeding Association Queensland Branch Conference is a two-day event focused on education, connection, collaboration, and celebration. Held on 23–24 May 2026 at the Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane, it brings together supporters, educators, volunteers, and advocates committed to strengthening breastfeeding support across our communities.Beginning at 8:00am on Saturday, the program will inspire and equip attendees under the theme Diverse Paths, Shared Strengths: Empowering Breastfeeding Together. Together, we will explore the unique journeys of families and the shared commitment that unites us in supporting them.
Across the weekend, sessions will cover important and evolving topics including Dysphoric Milk Ejection Reflex (DMER), inclusive LGBTQ+ breastfeeding support, premature babies and breastfeeding, and more — reflecting the diversity of modern families and the importance of inclusive, evidence-based, compassionate care.
A dedicated training day will be held on Friday, 22 May (details to come), offering additional professional development ahead of the main conference. On Saturday evening at 6:00pm, attendees are invited to a gala dinner to connect, celebrate, and enjoy a fun evening with raffles and prizes.
More than an educational event, the Queensland Branch Conference is an opportunity to build confidence, strengthen networks, and reaffirm our shared commitment to supporting families.
We look forward to welcoming you to Brisbane in May 2026.
