Queensland Deaf and Hard of Hearing Early Years Virtual Playgroup 19.03.26A collaborative initiative between Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services and Yeerongpilly Early Childhood Development Program to support Deaf and Hard of Hearing children in the Early Years and their families.
A relaxed opportunity for parents and children 0-5 years who are Deaf or hard of hearing to join other families and participate in an online playgroup.
Activities include; storytelling (Auslan and English), singing, signing (no prior signing skills required), information and strategies for supporting communication development and an opportunity to connect with other families with children who are Deaf/hard of hearing.
The playgroup is presented in English and Auslan.
Time and Date: Thursday 19th of March, 9:30-10:30

Audience: Deaf and hard of hearing children with their families
* Registrations close Wednesday 18th of March at 5pm
* Parents are invited to respond to questions as part of the registration process to assist with service delivery.
* Zoom link will be provided in your registration confirmation email.
* A State School Consent Form will be emailed following registration and is required to be completed and returned via email prior to engaging in the virtual playgroup.
Please note: The virtual playgroup is available for ALL families across the state of a child who is Deaf/hard of hearing who is registered (or in the process of registering) with a Queensland Department of Education early intervention service. This can include either an Early Childhood Development Program (ECDP) or Advisory Visiting Teacher: Deaf/hard of hearing (AVT D/HH) service.
