Weld Australia wishes to advise that the National Manufacturing Summit, scheduled to be held in Adelaide in July 2026, will be postponed. This decision has been made following careful consideration of a number of external factors currently affecting the broader environment. These include evolving ministerial and government travel constraints, increasing travel and accommodation costs, and the challenging conditions many organisations are navigating at present. We also recognise that, particularly within the Defence sector, many attendees are focused on critical operational priorities and delivery commitments. It is important to us that participation in this national event does not place additional pressure on individuals or organisations during this time. As a Summit of national importance, our objective is to deliver a high-quality event with strong attendance, meaningful engagement, and tangible outcomes for industry. Under current conditions, we do not believe this could be achieved to the standard expected by our attendees, speakers, and sponsors. We have therefore taken the proactive step to postpone now, allowing all participants sufficient notice and flexibility in their planning. The Summit will be rescheduled once there is greater clarity in the operating landscape. We are confident that when it returns, it will provide an even stronger platform for connection, collaboration, and advancing Australia’s manufacturing capability in support of Defence.
