Under the Aged Care Act 2024, providers must apply to renew their registration to continue delivering funded aged care services. The Commission has released detailed guidance on the renewal application process, including expectations regarding documentation, evidence and category-specific requirements.

For providers registered in Categories 4 and 5, renewal will also involve an audit against the strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards, making prior preparation even more critical.
