[Livestream] Non-delegable duties
About
Join George Street Chambers’ members Richard Perry KC and Riley McDermott for a CPD seminar exploring the boundaries of non-delegable duties.Richard Perry KC is a leading silk with a substantial practice in commercial, public, and professional liability disputes. He is widely recognised for his expertise in complex litigation and in cases raising novel or developing points of law, including issues of duty, assumption of responsibility, and the scope of liability.
Riley McDermott practises across commercial and public law. He regularly appears both led and unled in high-value and technically demanding matters.
This session will examine whether a non-delegable duty can arise outside the “usual” personal injury paradigm, and if so, in what circumstances. Drawing on recent authorities and emerging trends, the presenters will analyse the conceptual foundations of non-delegable duties, their relationship with vicarious liability, and the policy considerations influencing judicial development.
