Inclusive OT are proud to present this 4-hour live online workshop for OTs at Transform Life.The 'Home Modifications Fundamentals 'workshop provides foundation skills in the area of environmental modifications. This workshop will cover:
• Introduction to Home Modifications in Australia
• An overview of The Australian Standards- AS1428.2 (2021) relevant to OT Practice
• Bathroom Basics: Showers, Baths & Toilets
• Access points: Doorways, Steps and Stairs
• Case study examples & practice activities
• Drawing practice examples using templates and writing technical specifications
• Introduction to Software programs for the use of producing clear and accurate diagrams.
Presented by Angie Contreras, who has been a practicing OT for over 20 years, and has worked extensively under a joint OT/Builder model to deliver best practice solutions to a variety of clients eg. Aged Care/HCP/CHSP, NDIS, Workers Comp, Lifetime Care & DVA. Angie designs bespoke training sessions, runs workshops for small and large groups around Australia, and oversees mentoring programs for OT’s entering the field of home modifications.
