Terms & Conditions
Set Up & Trading Hours
Set up from 8:00am on the day of the market only. No early set up permitted.
The square is surrounded by residents; please be mindful of noise.
The market trades from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Vendors must be ready to trade at 10:00am and remain trading for the full advertised time unless instructed otherwise.
Staff will be located in the office tent near the wombats from 8:00am to assist with allocations and any issues.
Gazebo Safety
Pegs are strictly prohibited.
Gazebos must be secured using water weights or sandbags only.
Any damage to the sprinkler system caused by pegs will be the responsibility of the stall holder.
Insurance
All stall holders must hold valid Public Liability Insurance.
A Certificate of Currency must be provided prior to the market. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your stall.
Vehicles & Parking
Vehicles may enter the grass area for loading and unloading only.
Speed limit is 5km/h with hazard lights on.
Vehicles must not obstruct other stall holders or customers.
Limited parking behind stalls is available (first in, best dressed).
Vehicles must NOT be moved during trading hours.
Stall holder parking is available on Robert Street.
Please leave parking close to the square available for customers.
Promotion
‘Spotlights’ may be offered for promotional purposes on the market Facebook page.
Please note: stall holders are responsible for providing their own promotional material.
Cleanliness
All stalls must be kept clean and rubbish-free.
Sites must be left in a clean condition upon departure.
Failure to do so may result in future applications being declined.
Conduct
Abusive behavior, bullying or harassment towards market crew or fellow stall holders will not be tolerated.
Any unacceptable behavior, including abuse or swearing, will result in immediate removal from the market and exclusion from future events. This condition is non-negotiable.
Weather Policy
As this is an outdoor market, weather conditions may impact operations.
Markets may be cancelled due to adverse weather. A decision will be made by the Wednesday prior to the market date where possible.
Cancellation Policy
Stall holders cancelling before 5:00pm Wednesday prior to market day may receive a credit (at the discretion of Market Crew).
Cancellations after this time will forfeit fees paid.
Additional Requirements
Stall holders must bring all necessary items for comfort (gazebo walls, sunscreen, hats, etc.).
Toilets are located near Henry Street, opposite the Town Hall.
Food vendors must comply with Copper Coast Council and Government regulations and provide relevant certification.
Stall holders must trade only from their allocated site.
Site allocations will be emailed on Wednesday evening prior to the market.
The organiser’s place of employment is not an access point for market business.
