The Gippsland Family Law Pathways Network invites professionals across the family law and family support sectors to attend an engaging evening of professional development, networking, and expert presentations.
This in-person event will provide valuable insights into court processes, forensic assessment, and service referral pathways supporting families within the family law and child protection systems.
The evening includes a guided gallery tour, networking opportunities, and presentations from experienced practitioners and a judicial officer.
This event provides CPD points for legal practitioners and is considered a professional training opportunity for the broader Family Law Support Sector across Gippsland. Drinks and appertizers included.

Judge Jenkinson – Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
Judge Jenkinson began practice in 2007 specialising in family law and family violence matters before being called to the Bar in 2011. Her Honour appeared extensively as Counsel, including as Counsel for the Independent Children’s Lawyer.
Her Honour later served as a Senior Judicial Registrar in both the Sydney and Melbourne registries before being appointed as a Judge in 2025.
Judge Jenkinson will share insights into:
- The priorities and strategic direction of the Court
- Current commitments and reforms
- Practical considerations for practitioners engaging with the Court.
Lisa Forrester – Clinic Director
Lisa Forrester is a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working across public mental health and specialist forensic services. She currently serves as Clinic Director of the Children’s Court Clinic.
Lisa will discuss:
- The role and function of the Children’s Court Clinic
- Jurisdictions and referral processes
- How assessments inform court decision-making in matters involving children and young people.
