Women Wanderers – April 11th 2026
About
Hello everyone. Here are the details for the Women Wanderers walk on April 11th. This walk combines two trails which run through both the Chermside Hills Reserve and the Milne Hill Reserve. The walk begins at the entrance to the Chermside Hills in McDowall and proceeds along the Giwadha Track. For those of you who walked the Chermside Hills last year, this is only a very small section of the walk we completed then, so most of this walk should be new to you. After we complete the Chermside Hills section, we cross over to the Pomax Track in the Milne Hill Reserve. We will then make our way up to the lookout at the top of Milne Hill which has views ranging from Mt Coot-tha to Mt Glorious. Along the way we will see many xanthorrhoea plants, which are looking quite beautiful at the moment and hopefully a wallaby or two. We will then wind our way back to our cars and move on to morning tea at the Gather and Graze Cafe at 2 Chinook Street, Everton Hills. The walk is all gravel so it is recommended that you have shoes with a good grip. The tracks are mostly shaded and well maintained. There are quite a few stairs in one section which raises this to a Moderate Level walk. There will be options for anyone who doesn't wish to use the stairs. People may also wish to bring hiking poles.
There are no toilet facilities.
