YOUTH SPEAK 2026
About
Congratulations on taking part in the 35th year of Ipswich Rotary's speaking contest for high school students. Registration is FREE. Students present a four (4 ) minute speech in the semi-final heats and will receive individual evaluations and feedback from experienced speakers from Toastmasters International. A separate panel of Toastmaster judges will adjudicate each speaker against the "International Speech" criteria. The top placegetters from each heat will progress to the final where students will present a second speech.The topic for the Semi Finals on Tue 12 May 2026 is: "Rotary - People of Action".
The Topic for the Final on Tue 19 May 2026 is the 2026-2027 Rotary International theme : "CREATE LASTING IMPACT"
Once the FREE registrations close on 1May, students will receive an email with more information about how to get tickets for family and friends to attend the semi-finals and the final.
