Victoria's Biosecurity Roundtable 2026
Join this year’s biosecurity conversation online or in person and add your voice about how we can best work together to maximise our impact.
This full day event is designed to be interactive and engaging. Alongside a number of presentations, you will take part in guided conversations with other participants to share what’s working, explore challenges and learn from different perspectives across the biosecurity system. You can expect opportunities to connect with people you may not usually meet, and to contribute your insights through structured table and online discussions.
The 2026 theme, “How do we work together to maximise impact?”, reflects a strong focus on collective action and innovation across the biosecurity system and will guide conversations throughout the day.
What is the roundtable?
The Biosecurity Roundtable is an annual event which brings together leaders from across the biosecurity system, including industry, community, Traditional Owner organisations and government, to showcase progress, identify challenges and strengthen collaboration.
Protecting Victoria’s lands, waters, industries, economy, culture and way of life from pests and diseases is a collective effort. That’s why it is so important that your voice is represented at this year’s roundtable. We need you to help maximise our impact for a stronger biosecurity system for Victoria.
The aim of the day is to:
- give participants a clear picture of progress so far
- share what is working, what is not, and where change is needed
- learn from examples, case studies and lived experience
- build stronger connections across the biosecurity system
- help people see where they can contribute in their own role
- gather ideas and insights to inform future work
Who is it for?
Biosecurity is everyone’s business. Victoria’s biosecurity system protects our economy, natural environment, human health, cultural heritage and much more. As risks grow and change, Victorians have called for clearer, more coordinated ways to work together. That’s why it is crucial that key partners and stakeholders continue our important conversation on how we continue to work together to maximise impact to strengthen the biosecurity system.
