The Barossa is a gem on Adelaide's doorstep, and this year, we're gathering in one of its most charming corners.A new patisserie beside Kaesler Winery, complete with a grassy area sets the scene for a day of food and one, and optional outdoor activities.
Main Event
11:15 am – Brunch at Patisserie & Farm Shop by Cheryse Zagler
3175 Barossa Valley Way, near Nuriootpa
Enjoy brunch either indoors or outdoors overlooking the lawn. Food and drinks are own cost.
12:00 pm – 1:00 pm – Kaesler Cellar Door Tasting
Next door to the patisserie, same address
The Kaesler family were early Barossa pioneers, planting their first vines in 1893. Today their wines are crafted from these ancient vineyards. Choose from two tasting flights:
Estate Tasting Flight – $25pp
A curated seasonal selection of six Estate wines, including the renowned Bogan Shiraz.
Icon Tasting Flight – $45pp
A guided tasting of Kaesler’s premium wines: NV Black Bubbles, WOMS Shiraz Cabernet, Alte Reben Shiraz, Old Vine Shiraz, and the flagship Old Bastard Shiraz.
Bookings are essential for tastings.
Optional Activities
10:30 am – Pre‑Event Bike Ride (7 km, mostly downhill)
Start at the old Angaston Railway Station (turn off Barossa Way at Sturt St, then 100 m to the trailhead).
Ride the scenic old rail line through shady cuttings and vineyards, finishing in Nuriootpa. From the trail end, it’s an easy 750 m ride to the Patisserie/Kaesler.
2:00 pm – Menglers Hill Sculpture Park

Admire international stone sculptures while taking in panoramic views over Tanunda and the Barossa Valley.
2:30–3:30 pm – Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park
Tanunda Creek Road, Flaxman Valley
Walk the Stringybark Loop (2.7 km, approx. 1 hour). Expect native flora, granite outcrops, open grassy areas, and likely kangaroo sightings.
