Food Forest Walk and Talk (SOLD OUT)
About
Food foresting is a sustainable gardening system designed to mimic the structure and function of a natural forest. It involves planting a diverse range of food-producing trees, shrubs, and plants together in a single ecosystem. This approach not only promotes biodiversity and soil health but also offers a wide variety of edible and medicinal plants and habitats for wildlife. Food forests are low-maintenance, requiring less water, fertiliser, and other resources than traditional gardens or farms. Food forests are resilient, sustainable and highly productive means of food production that can easily be achieved in your home garden.Garden on Glenora is a 1-hectare (2.5 acre) property, owned and cared for by our family. We are in our 6th year of food foresting on our demonstration property, showcasing the diversity of food plants that can be grown in our climate in a food forest system. Garden on Glenora is a thriving food forest with the approach of growing a sustainable low maintenance resilient food system.
