Sean Kim (Piano) - Illumination: A Dialogue Across Eras
About
Sean’s mini-recital Illumination: A Dialogue Across Eras traces a living thread through music history, exploring the continuity and transformation of musical forms. From Bach’s architectural clarity and Haydn’s sparkling elegance to Ravel’s shimmering textures and George Benjamin’s reflective modern voice, each work builds on inherited forms while reimagining them for a new era. This program highlights the many ways light appears in music, through structure, expression, and resonance, revealing how successive generations refine and illuminate the piano’s capacity for clarity, depth, and radiance.
