Free Over 50s Trail Walk for Active April
About
Join Yarra Ranges Council’s Healthy & Active Ageing and Recreation & Sports teams, with support from Access Health & Community’s Health Promotion team, for a free Over 50s Trail Walk to celebrate Active April.Starting and ending at Woori Yallock, this walk is an opportunity to explore part of the beautiful Lilydale-Warburton trail and connect with others in the community.
What to Expect
• A guided walk taken at a comfortable, inclusive pace
• Time to connect with community members and enjoy the outdoors
• Supportive staff on hand throughout the event
Who Can Join?
This event is designed for people living, working or visiting the Yarra Ranges aged 50 and over.
Event Details
• Date: Wednesday 22 April
• Arrival Time: Please arrive at 10:20am for a 10:30am start
• Finish Time: Approximately 11:30am to 11:45am
• Meeting Point: Undercover picnic tables, Woori Yallock Station Carpark, 1934, Warburton Rail Trail, Woori Yallock VIC 3139.
• Walking Duration: Approximately 50 minutes, walking approximately 25mins along trail before walking back to meeting point.
• Difficulty Level: Easy to moderate. Wide fine gravel surface with mostly flat terrain and a very gentle, consistent incline.
• Cost: Free

• By participating in this walk, you acknowledge that you are medically fit to complete the walk comfortably. If you have any doubts, we advise that you speak to your doctor/practitioner prior to commencing the walk.
• Registration details will be held securely. Contact details may be shared with relevant staff for risk management purposes.
Walk may be cancelled due to inclement weather. Walk will be cancelled:
• If the Fire Danger Rating is extreme or catastrophic
• If there is a risk of storm/trees down in the area
• If the rain is heavy and persistent
• Walkers will be notified by text and/or email at least 1 hour prior to start time
