PD explores the foundational qualities that underpin safe and effective crisis support work. This session supports Crisis Supporters to intentionally apply compassion to create emotional safety, respect to uphold dignity and autonomy, self-awareness to maintain boundaries and reflective practice, and a strengths-based lens to recognise and amplify the help seeker’s existing capacities and resilience. Participants will strengthen their ability to integrate these attributes in challenging conversations, manage personal triggers, and deliver help seeker–led, trauma-informed, and ethically aligned support.Date
