Plant this, not that: friendly alternatives to problem garde
About
Did you know that some of the plants you buy from the nursery for your garden are quietly escaping to become weeds in local bushland, parks, and waterways? Join us for Plant this, not that —a relaxed, practical presentation designed for people who love gardening and want to make choices that help our environment thrive. In this session, we’ll explore some common garden plants that might look harmless but can spread quickly and cause problems for native wildlife and natural areas. More importantly, we’ll introduce you to beautiful, easy‑care plant alternatives that give you the same colour, texture, and garden appeal—without the environmental impact.
