2026 Hamman School Mathematics Competition (HSMC)
The HSMC aims to encourage interested and motivated students to enjoy the challenge of non-standard, thought-provoking mathematical problems. While some questions require extended knowledge and responses, the problem-solving format aims to develop lateral thinking and provide the widest range of students the opportunity to achieve success.
This annual competition is a well-established event across South Australian secondary schools, with students from Government, Catholic and Independent schools participating across the HSMC divisions: Junior (Years 7 and 8), Intermediate (Years 9 and 10), and Senior (Years 11 and 12).
