Showcasing fun-filled original illustrations from the State Library’s Peter Williams Collection of exceptional picture book art, this exhibition is the cat’s whiskers. From flying pigs to scaredy cats, cheeky monkeys to quiet hiding mice, this is storytelling at its most playful, where every artwork is packed with colour, character, and chaos.

Along the way, uncover surprising finds and see how the Library connects people with ideas, history, and new possibilities.
Families will be welcomed by the Children's University team and provided with self-guided activities. Children must be supervised by an adult parent or guardian for the duration of this event.
