Our 2026 Sydney Sings concert features two brilliant German composers who succeeded at the English Court in London, the great G. F. Handel and his admirer, C.P.E. Bach, the second son of J.S. Bach. CPE Bach’s triumphant Magnificat, first performed in Leipzig, shows Bach’s mastery of both the emerging classical style and the traditional strict counterpoint, concluding the work with a might choral fugue.
