It's time to write your food story. The one you've been thinking about for a while; the stories of memory, family and food.Your tutors are Emiko Davies, author of seven cookbooks and at work on an eighth, and Barbara Sweeney, a Sydney-based food writer who has been offering food memoir writing classes since 2012.
Both Barbara and Emiko bring a wealth of experience to the table and will work with you to hone your story or book idea. We will tackle writing exercises, build a story structure, explore the characters of people we love, and learn how to write a recipe. We will tell our stories to each other and in the cadence of our spoken voice start to recognise our writing voice.
This one-day masterclass includes refreshments through the day and a shared lunch at Verity Lane Market.
We'd like you to get as much out of the day as possible so once you've enrolled we'll send you some questions by email and invite you to submit an example of your writing.
