Sally is running an exciting weekend of ukulele workshops at the Valla Beach Community Hall. If you have attended any of Sally's workshops, you know you are in for a treat!
Sally will be presenting new material - some familiar concepts and some new concepts so you can continue being excited about playing your ukulele and learning new skills in a friendly supportive environment.
It is expected that you will be confident playing the commonly known chords and know a little bit about TAB reading.
Here are some of the things you will be exploring:
TAB reading and ensemble playing.
Effective fingering. How to know what fingering to use.
Chords and melody playing - learning from the ground up using a unique approach developed by Sally.
Feeling comfortable playing notes up in the dusty area of the fretboard.
Campanella Ukulele - a beautiful technique that allows your ukulele to sound like a harp.
Introduction to Tritone Substitution - how to easily add in funky chords to add a lovely quirkiness to your playing.
Playing a song arrangement - great for any group situation - with chords, singing, riffs and leadbreaks. Pick the part you want to play.
